Amritsari Chicken Masala Recipe
Amritsari Chicken Masala is a traditional North Indian meal created with the distinctive Amritsari thick and creamy gravy and spiced with fresh cream, butter, and tomatoes. This dish, often known as chicken makhani or murgh, is a popular dish in Indian restaurants. The tomato puree gives the gravy its distinct color. The delectable recipe is simple to prepare at home because it does not require many ingredients or Indian spices.
Ingredients
For Marination
- Chicken, 500 grams
- Ginger-garlic paste, 2 teaspoons
- 3 tablespoons of curd
- Lemon juice, 1 teaspoon
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- Coriander powder, 1 teaspoon
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- Red chili powder, 1 teaspoon
- 2 teaspoons chopped onion
- Salt as per taste
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- Red chili powder, 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder, 1 teaspoon
- 1 teaspoon of minced cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- a half-cup of water
- 1 green pepper
- 6 Tomatoes
- 1 half-teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons of cream
- Place the chicken in a large mixing bowl.
- Chicken should be seasoned with salt, ginger-garlic paste, curd, lemon juice, vinegar, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and finely chopped onion.
- Thoroughly mix all the ingredients.
- Set aside for 2 hours to marinate.
Put butter in a heated pan and stir in the red chili powder.
In a pan, sauté them.
Add the coriander powder, cumin powder, and sliced ginger.
Cook them thoroughly.
Mix well after adding water to the pan.
Add sugar, tomato, green chili, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
Put more butter in another hot pan and coat the sides completely.
To the pan, add the marinated chicken.
Cook the chicken in the butter.
Allow the chicken to cook by covering the pan.
Check to see if the chicken has gotten golden brown and the butter has melted.
Mix in the prepared tomato gravy with the chicken.
